Ministries
Campus Ministry
With one of the biggest campuses in the nation located in the heart of Austin, we envision to be a community that embraces and nurtures the students. The Campus Ministry provides a community of love for the college students through corporate worship service on Sundays, fellowship activities, and outreach opportunities. With a weekly shuttle from campus, if you are a college student on campus or know of a student who is interested in joining us, please contact us by clicking on the link above.
Every Friday, the college students meet on campus for Friday Night Live (FNL) for a time where we worship, investigate our Christian faith, or just enjoy a very chill time with fellow peers. There will be food provided afterwards so come out and mingle with students from your classrooms!
Small Group Ministry
“Americans are among the loneliest people in the world.” ~ George Gallup
In our culture, we all crave meaningful relationships as life is meant to be shared and lived out as a community. At our church, we strive to connect people to Christ and one another to find those authentic caring relationships.
Through our small group ministry, we hope to develop authentic relationships through encouragement, the cultivation of potential spiritual gifts, a focus on the lost, and the training of leaders to begin other small groups, communities, and ministries. This is accomplished by an embrace of the Holy Spirit and a dedication to both emotional and spiritual maturity. Ideally, we hope that each member has a “Paul” (a mentor) and “Timothy” (a mentee).
We have a diversity of small groups that cater to college students and singles/couples. Regardless of your age, gender, race, or sexual orientation, small groups provide an atmosphere for fellowship, fun, and intimacy so come out! If you are interested in getting involved in small group, please contact us by clicking on the link above.
Ministry of Compassion and Justice
“In the Old Testament, the suffering of the poor was the second most prominent theme… In the New Testament, we found that 1 out of 16 verses was about the poor. In the Gospels, it was 1 out of every 10; in Luke, 1 of 7; and in the book of James, 1 of every 5 verses [was about the poor].” ~ Jim Wallis
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.” ~ Luke 4:18
We believe that in the same way that Jesus’ teachings reflected a concern for the poor and needy, our churches need to be places where God’s mercy and justice are not just proclaimed but demonstrated.
Ideally, for the church to be a growing, healthy community, the grace and mercy extended from God must flow freely into the lives around us.
The city of Austin has a confirmed 5,000 (and a projected 10,000) homeless people, creating an opportunity for us to demonstrate compassion and hence our partnership with Front Steps and the ARCH ministry downtown.
In conjunction with the local mission field in our communities, we have recently begun to send short-term mission trips annually to Jackson, Mississippi and the country of Nicaragua. If you are interested in participating in these summer mission trips, please contact us by clicking on the link above.
